Hi Everyone,

There are several DHI-related opportunities we encourage UNF students and faculty to consider.

Please read below for more information about the 2021 Digital Projects Showcase (submissions due 10/1); the 2021-2022 DHI Faculty Fellows & Internship programs (proposals due 11/1); and serving on the FLDH Executive Council (nominations due 9/30):

  * 2021-2022 DHI Faculty Fellows Program - The UNF Digital Humanities Institute (DHI) seeks proposals for spring/summer 2022 Faculty Fellows for projects related to the Digital Humanities. The DHI promotes collaboration on interdisciplinary projects that combine the use of technology with materials and methodologies from the Humanities, Fine Arts and Social Sciences. We seek proposals on a wide range of topics related to the digital humanities. Fellowships may be used to develop current or future DH projects, to support faculty while applying for external funding, to set up initiatives, purchase equipment, or a combination of the above. All UNF faculty are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to DHI-affiliated faculty. 2021-22 fellows are required to present at the 2022 Digital Projects Showcase or another DHI-sponsored program.
  *
  * Proposals should be 2-3 pages double spaced. Proposals should include 1) an outline of the proposed project including how the proposed project connects with the digital humanities. Proposals may also include community partners scholars are working with (if applicable) and collaborations with other UNF faculty and students. 2) a brief budget (up to $5,000). All UNF faculty are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to DHI-affiliated faculty. Please email Anne Pfister, DHI Director, with proposals saved as one document (a.pfister at unf.edu<mailto:a.pfister at unf.edu>) by Nov. 1, 2021.

It is time to nominate new members to serve on the FLDH Executive Council for a two-year term, beginning in January of 2022. As a reminder, the Florida Digital Humanities Consortium (FLDH) Executive Council is responsible for discussing, working through, and voting on particular topics and issues related to the FLDH mission. The Council is comprised of at least one and up to two representatives from each of the following institutions: UCF, UF, USF, FSU, FIU, UNF, Florida Humanities Council, University of Miami, Rollins College, Flagler College, New College of Florida. You are welcome and encouraged to nominate more than one person from your institution, and you are welcome to self-nominate. Individuals may hold consecutive terms on the council, so current council members may be nominated again. Here is the nomination form<https://unf.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_afrT9Y1l2nnv81w>.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Anne
