I thought some folks on our ListServ might be interested in this CFP for a conference
that is a collaboration between the Societies for Visual & Cultural Anthropology:


CFP: The Virtual Otherwise – Joint SCA-SVA conference, June 2 – 4, 2022.

We are pleased to announce that the submissions portal for the biennial SCA-SVA conference is now open!


We welcome panel submissions working across a variety of media – panels/talks, video, sound, animation, and other creative formats. The deadline for submissions in January 24, 2022. We also encourage the formation of nodes for viewing, listening, discussing, eating and drinking, walking and talking, and other in-person ways of engaging (safely) with the conference materials. We will be able to offer small amounts of funding to support nodes. Details are available on the conference website.
