The upcoming Virtual Otherwise conference may be of interest to many of us on the DHI ListServ.

Virtual Otherwise is a collaboration between the Societies for Culture & Visual Anthropology (sponsored by Wenner-Gren and University of Pennsylvania School of Arts & Sciences). It is a low-cost virtual anthropology conference that will change your mind about virtual conferences. Each day pre-recorded presentations will be played 3 times across 24 hours.  This is supplemented with live discussion hallways, and additional popup sessions of various kinds, including "ask me anything" get togethers with journal editors.
