I wanted to reach out because I’m a new Archivist to the Florida area (and SFA!) and I wanted to share an event my office will be hosting in November that you and your staff might be interested in.



On Thursday November 3rd,  Dr. Michael Francis (USF) will be coming to UNF (Jacksonville) to talk about his recent project, the Interactive Digital Archives of the Americas, in which our Diocesan sacramental records from 1594 have been digitized, transcribed, translated, and are made searchable. I am working on notifying the community today and hope that you might be willing to share it with your membership, your staff, and any other interested parties. UNF is also collaborating with us on communication. The Flyer is attached.



This event is FREE and open to the public. There are also light refreshments being planned.



We hope you will consider attending and would appreciate your help getting the word out!!
