The Teaching Archive has won the Modernist Studies Association book prize and the UNF prize for Best Scholarly Monograph. Buurma and Heffernan’s presentation will be followed by responses from English faculty members Nicholas de Villiers and Jennifer Lieberman. Refreshments will be served.

Connecting w/ the Eartha M. M. White Collection - Wed. Feb. 15 12:30-1:30 - Library's Special Collections Reading Room (1st Floor, Library) The Eartha M. M. White Collection is the cornerstone of UNF’s Special Collections, being both the first collection obtained by the University in 1975 and consistently the most widely used. Over the past 50 years students from many majors have used the Eartha M. M. White Collection for projects and research, and it has brought faculty together across disciplinary lines. Please join us in exploring some of these relationships at the panel discussion “Connecting with the Eartha M. M. White Collection”. Nur Chodry, a 2023 DHI Student Fellow working to help digitize material from the collection, will be a panelist. The event is sponsored by the Thomas G. Carpenter Library, the UNF Africana Studies Program, and UNF’s Digital Humanities Institute (DHI).

Erin Conklin, supervisor for K-12 Social Studies, Duval County Public Schools; Dr. David Jamison, Assistant Professor of History, Edward Waters University. Location: Downtown Campus of Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ)
Using VR to Support Curriculum workshop - Fri., Feb. 24 - 12:30-1:30 Bldg. 51/1210 This workshop will help you envision how Virtual Reality (VR) can support learning in your classroom! Faculty will have a chance to use VR headsets, interact with the different programs and "experiences" and Beryl White-Bing will share resources to support a diverse array of curriculum. This workshop is a collaboration between the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work, the UNF Digital Humanities Institute & the Carpenter Library.
