[UNF-DHI] UNF's 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop Week

The Students for a Democratic Society and Dr. Jonathan Grant are hosting UNF's 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop Week sponsored by the Africana Studies Program and the SASW Department.  We have several events planned for the week November 6-9.  See flyers attached.  On Monday November 6, we will host a panel made up of students, scholars and community members discussing the history of hip hop, its impact on our personal lives, how it has shaped the sociopolitical landscape of the U.S., and how we see the culture moving forward.  On Thursday November 9, we will have a party hosted by DJ Mas Appeal celebrating the various eras of hip hop.

Feel free to share these flyers with your students, colleagues, and networks in the Jacksonville community.  We hope to see you there and thank you for your support.
