"Join us for a “Día de Muertos" a celebration of Culture, Art, Folklore, and Gastronomy, celebrating the ancient Mexican tradition of remembrance of lost loved ones and celebrating the Latino Cultural Heritage, Roots, and  Memory. There will be movies, music, food (including tamales, elote and tacos for sale), catrina, altar contest, and dance performances.

Special events:

      - 5:30 p.m.  MOCA - MOTH - Movies on the House program will screen 2 shorts on The Day of the Dead (with English Subtitles). Movies are for all ages, family event.
Movies will be on-loop showing at MOCA

     *   November 1st, well known as Todos Santos or the Days of the Dead in Mexico, is a rite shared across the Gulf. This film illuminates this practice in a community of Afro-Creole, French, and Choctaw roots along Bayou Lacombe. This film is a collaboration with the families who commemorate All Saints Day by cleaning and lighting the graves in Williams and Ducre cemeteries in Lacombe.
