[UNF-DHI] Labor Day/Job Posting

Good morning! Happy Labor Day, and today we celebrate the many contributions of the digital humanities that have improved labor conditions here in the US and around the world. From Margaret Knight's innovations in safety devices for textile workers and mechanized paper bag folding machines to Jacob Riis's flash photography of working conditions in New York, the digital humanities have always been closely aligned with labor movements. Now that drop/add and late registration weeks are over, thank you to everyone who helped move students into 9 DHI internships this fall, with more ready to start in the spring. This week, I'll finish reaching out to our advisory committee on sub-committee assignments. Our first advisory committee meeting will be Wed, Sept 27, 12:15pm in Building 16/Room 3108. There will be food and a zoom option available. Stay tuned for this important committee information yet this week!

Don't forget to visit the UNF Art Gallery for the Voces y Caras exhibit that is going to take place in the UNF Gallery for Hispanic Heritage Month (appx. Sept. 15-Oct. 15).
