[UNF-DHI] DHI Fall Advisory Committee Meeting 10/3 @ 3pm

Colleagues-

Welcome back to the Nest! I’m pleased to be standing on the shoulders of the giants that preceded me as your new Director. Before the fall gets too crazy and schedules get jam-packed, I wanted to put on your radar this semester’s Advisory Committee meeting, which will be held on Friday, October 3rd at 3pm (location TBD). I’ll be sending around a calendar invite as a placeholder.

Also, we will have our first major events on Tuesday, October 7th. At 10am, Prof. Randy Abate will be reading an excerpt from his forthcoming cli-fi (climate fiction) novel, Refuge. Then, at 1pm, Prof. Abate will deliver a talk about climate change law and coastal migration, followed by a panel discussion about how the digital humanities can raise awareness and enact positive change on this issue affecting the First Coast and beyond, featuring our own Prof. Anne Pfister and Prof. Maureen McCluskey. Locations are TBD as well.
