<div>We are having a Northeast Florida GIS meeting next Tuesday at Rayonier, near Yulee. You may know that they are a large timber company, and they will present on their use of LiDAR for business. </div>


<div>LiDAR tech is very advanced and has led to a lot of recent archaeological discoveries, due its ability to “see” beneath tree canopies to the bare ground. </div>

<div>It’s used in many areas, and you will have chance to learn something new and meet GIS practitioners.  Our own student, Erin Ogrodnik, works there. </div>
