1. 4.  82 major cities are meeting in Mexico City this week as members of the C40 network to share strategies on dealing with climate change. 5.  Environmentally friendly US businesses, including Citibank, Nasdaq, and United Airlines, have formed Companies Versus Climate Change.  The new group met in Fort Lauderdale this week. 6.  The US Energy Information Agency reports that renewable energy in the US increased 24% in the first nine months of 2016 compared with the same period in 2015.  CA is the leader, with 44% of its energy generated renewably. 7.  The Children's Trust lawsuit by children in Oregon to force climate action should have a court date next summer or fall.
