1. The UN’s World Meteorological Organization reports that four indicators of climate change have again broken records. https://www.axios.com/2022/05/18/climate-change-records

2. In Jacksonville, FL, people who make an average wage cannot afford an apartment. We are fast approaching a retreat of millions of people from the coast as the sea rises, and of others from some inland areas as heat builds. One rich community resource which should play a role in providing housing is the dead or moribund strip mall. https://e360.yale.edu/features/how-ailing-strip-malls-could-be-a-green-fix-for-u.s.-housing-crisis

3. The curve representing global sales of electric vehicles is taking on a J shape. https://climatecrocks.com/2022/05/19/ev-sales-exponential-growth-curves/

4. Commercial methane prices have been allowed to rise sharply to reflect the diminished supply from Russia. Because producers are not increasing production, the cost will rise further. One result will be to increase the financial advantage of a transition to renewable energy. https://climatecrocks.com/2022/05/22/in-graphs-the-coming-shock-to-natural-gas-prices/

5. The Renault Scenic Vision is an electric vehicle with a relatively small battery, 40 kwh, for short trips and a hydrogen fuel cell to be used for extending the range to almost 500 miles. Renault expects to offer the car in 2024. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1135921_renault-scenic-vision-ev-concept-hydrogen-fuel-cell-range-extender?utm_source=GCR+-+Daily+Headlines&utm_campaign=e4d96816be-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2022_05_22_04_05&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_7e18d5fd93-e4d96816be-54646949
