anger from down the economic scale, and part of that reaction comes from climate change pressures. Social justice is a fundamental requirement for effective climate action. Perhaps the admirable climate action of Scandinavian countries is aided by their greater
social justice, though recent Swedish politics shows that climate immigration remains a problem. (So do the immigration strains in Germany, Hungary, England, and Italy—not to mention the anticipatory hysteria in the US.) Does the answer not lie in the difficult
task of planning for adaptation and, if need be, for equitable resettlement?<o:p></o:p></span></p>
