2. China has committed in writing to its previously announced climate targets. Culminating in carbon neutrality by 2060, they are still inadequate to limit heating to 1.5C. In the past China has reversed the usual national strategy by underpromising and overdelivering.
They seem to be prepared by their technological development and support of renewables to cut their reliance on coal more drastically than they have proposed. It would provide a boost to the Glasgow talks if they committed to that.

testifying under oath, with their history of lies and disinformation. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: "One thing that often gets lost in these conversations is some of us have to actually live in the future that you all are setting on fire for us."
