Agroarte and la Red Territorial de la Memoria, organizations from Comuna 13, Medell?n, have made a call for letters to be written as an act of memory. These letters will be delivered en masse to Comuna 13 on October 16, 2021, the anniversary of Operation Orion. We would love for all of you to participate and encourage your students and colleagues to do so. The letters do not have to address the history of Comuna 13, but rather the idea is that each of us writes our testimonies, stories, and feelings about what has happened in Colombia and/or the world. (The letters can be written in different languages.) We would like to encourage you to include ?Letters to the wind, from the other shores of memory? as part of your class curricula for next semester. In the attached files and videos (in English and Spanish), you will find the invitation to participate in this event as well as the historical context of the date that is commemorated. On April 9, 2022, someone from Comuna 13 will respond to your letter. We hope that you will join this important initiative.
