Free Confidential or Anonymous HIV Testing Available at LGBTRC
The LGBTRC, with the support of UNF Health Promotions, will have free confidential or anonymous HIV testing available by appointment. Interfaith Week - 10/27
Members of the campus community are invited to take part in "Seeking Common Ground: Gender & Sexuality," part of Interfaith Week 2010, beginning 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 in the Student Union Ballrooms, Building 58W, 3703 C/D. Engage in small-group discussion of how your faith or religion influences and is influenced by your experiences and views on gender and sexuality. An Interfaith Week event co-sponsored by the Women's Center, LGBT Resource Center, Pagan Discussion Group, Jacksonville Christian Life and Jewish Student Union. Funded by Student Government. Jacksonville Human Rights Ordinance Forum - 10/28
The UNF LGBT Resource Center will host a forum on updating the Jacksonville Human Rights Ordinance. The forum is sponsored by the Jacksonville Committee for Equality and will be moderated by Melissa Ross of WJCT's "First Coast Connect".
Panelists include Brock Fazzini, CEO of Fazzini's Coffee and Tea, Randy Kammer, VP of Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Inc., Dr. John Oliver, faculty member of the UNF psychology department, and Nadine Smith, Executive Director of Equality Florida. Light refreshments will beserved and an RSVP is needed to secure a complimentary parking pass. Please contact the UNF LGBT Resource Center to reserve your parking pass. Open to All
Living with Pride Discussion Series
Living with Pride is a discussion series on healthy living for the LGBT and ally communities. Every other week, the LGBT Resource Center and PRIDE Club will explore a different issue affecting LGBT people and their allies.
Please join us for discussion as we hear from community leaders and students about Coming Out for the Holidays.
