Caseidyneën Saën is a volume of open access, pedagogical resources centered on an archival corpus of endangered Valley Zapotec-language materials created during the Mexican Colonial period. Despite it using colonial archival materials, it celebrates Zapotec knowledge, practices, and continued fight for survival and recognition. The project is an active, ongoing collaboration involving Zapotec and non-Native scholars as well as Zapotec community members:

The Section Board would also like to recognize the life and work of Edgar "Huracán" Ramírez, an "archival hero" we unfortunately lost this past year. Edgar was the leading force behind the rescue and processing of the Archive of the Bolivian Mining Company (COMIBOL) in El Alto, Bolivia. According to his nominator, “he did for the historical record what few archivists would have dared to do, in the midst of Bolivia's turbulent history since independence.” To read more about Edgar’s legacy and COMIBOL, please see S.
