Greetings Faculty,

The Institute of Environmental Research and Education's interdisciplinary environmental honors society, Kappa Alpha Omicron<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.unf.edu%2Fenvironment%2Fkao%2F&data=04%7C01%7Cj.taylor%40unf.edu%7Cc92c8a756a8c4ec126bb08d99a1f4cd2%7Cdf29b2fa8929482f9dbb60ff4df224c4%7C1%7C0%7C637710281504121943%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=lFrQSjcqrW0SVrbv%2BKPRGgloAR2bGPBwqELCtkBYjzA%3D&reserved=0>, plans to host a research panel during its next general meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. The honors society includes many high achieving students from a range of disciplines including biology, chemistry, engineering, interdisciplinary studies, public health and more. View the current membership roster<https://www.unfkao.org/members>.

We are looking for faculty to participate in the research panel. The students would like to hear about the following topics related to research:

  * What research are you currently working on or plan to work on?
  * What type of research is it (data analytic, field work/sample collections, laboratory work)?
  * Are you accepting student research assistants or volunteers? Are these paid/unpaid opportunities?
  * What type of trainings do you expect students to have?

The students will likely be meeting in-person at the Student Union, but faculty will have the option of joining the meeting virtually. If you are interested, please let me know which setting (virtual/in-person) option you prefer and a few sentences about your research.

Thank you,

James W. Taylor
