NEFGIS plans on hosting our annual GIS Day Event on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

The event will be held at Jacksonville University from 11am-1pm.

To date we have received no submissions for presenters or map gallery submissions. In order to make this even possible, please let us know by COB 10/29/21 if you or your orgainzation can present, submit maps to a map gallery or help sponsor the event.

Presentations
For those interested in presenting, we are seeking 3-4 individuals to give presentations in the 15-20 minute time frame. Presentation topics should appeal to professionals and students alike, providing you with an opportunity to showcase your work to your professional peers and spark students interest in GIS by showing them practical applications of GIS across multiple disciplines. This is a great opportunity for you to share the great work that you do in an academic / peer setting and earn GISP certification points! We also welcome any students who would like to present on GIS projects they are working on.

Map Gallery
There is also an opportunity for you to submit your exceptional maps to be included in the map gallery. We will have a student and professional category. Those submitting to the map gallery will receive GISP certification points, and if your map is chosen as a winner, you are eligible to receive additional GISP certification points.

Sponsor
In order to make this event possible, we are looking for several organizations to donate between $100-$500, so that we can provide lunch to all participants. We will include your company logo on all advertisements for the event.  This is a wonderful opportunity for your organization to build your brand.
