From University Press of Florida:

My name is Karina Tamayo, and I’m writing from the University Press of Florida. I wanted to let you know about an upcoming virtual event we are hosting, “Publishing and the Humanities,” on March 31, 2023. This two-panel event is made possible by a Sustaining the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan (SHARP) grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The first panel, “Getting Published,” will take place at 11:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m. EST. This panel will discuss the process of book publishing from the perspectives of authors and editors. This presentation is helpful for faculty or graduate students who are or may soon be interested in publishing their work with a university press.

The second panel, “Career Paths in Humanities, Public Engagement, and Publishing,” will take place at 1:00 p.m.–2:15 p.m. EST. This panel will discuss varied experiences working in the humanities in ways that engage the public through archives, museum exhibits, publications, and more. This presentation is helpful for anyone looking to explore alternative career tracks to academia and students interested in internship and career opportunities.

You will shortly receive a separate email announcement that includes information about the event and a link to register. You can also view the email announcement as a webpage here: https://conta.cc/3IL6HkO<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fconta.cc%2F3IL6HkO&data=05%7C01%7Ca.pfister%40unf.edu%7C737f55f6f426404ff93008db26361a0f%7Cdf29b2fa8929482f9dbb60ff4df224c4%7C1%7C0%7C638145786051694698%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=NlkCW53d1smY%2Fr9nu4tyzxTt7yk57aVo9UQW%2BxZScgU%3D&reserved=0>
