1. The lawsuit brought by WA state youths to prompt their Department of Ecology to pronounce adequate carbon regulations is still in process, though twice denied by the DOE. The DOE has said that it "does not know if there is an inherent right for a healthful environment," a principle which is the subject of a recent book from Cambridge, Nature's Trust by Mary Christina Wood. http://ecowatch.com/2015/11/04/demand-healthy-environment/?utm_source=EcoWatch+List&utm_campaign=257332c76f-Top_News_11_4_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_49c7d43dc9-257332c76f-85965093

2. NY state has embarked on an investigation of whether Exxon-Mobil has engaged in criminal conduct with a program of propaganda intended to deter action on climate. 5. As candidate for president, Senator Bernie Sanders continues to keep climate in the conversation. http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2015/11/05/3719583/sanders-urges-keystone-rejection/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=cptop3

6. This marks the fiftieth year since a US president was warned of the dangers of atmospheric carbon from the burning of fossil fuels. President Johnson passed the warning along in a special message to congress. http://climatecrocks.com/2015/11/06/50-years-john-holdren-on-climate-science-history/

7. After seven years of deliberation, President Obama has disapproved the XL Keystone pipeline. The US leadership role in global climate action played a part in the decision. http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/nov/07/keystone-xl-pipeline-rejection-signals-us-lead-climate-change ?
