1. Because it is cheaper to build wind and solar power plants than coal or natural gas plants (and their fuel is free), utilities are making the transition to renewable energy, even while they contest the Clean Power Plan in court, and 24 states have already achieved their 2022 targets under the CPP. https://climatecrocks.com/2016/11/24/why-wind-and-solar-wont-be-stopped/

2. Real estate sales on the US East Coast are slowing in areas subject to flooding as the sea rises and tides are reaching new heights. The approaching crash in coastal property values will see no recovery. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/24/science/global-warming-coastal-real-estate.html?emc=edit_tnt_20161124&nlid=43628374&tntemail0=y

3. Melting Arctic ice threatens to initiate feedback processes, some uncontrollable and irreversible, which will have broad impact. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/nov/25/arctic-ice-melt-trigger-uncontrollable-climate-change-global-level

4. Accelerating melt in the Antarctic has led to instabilities toward the center of key ice sheets. https://climatecrocks.com/2016/11/29/in-antarctic-summer-signs-of-accelerating-melt/

5. About two-thirds of the 430-mile northern section of the Great Barrier Reef has died. Rising ocean temperatures played a major part in first the bleaching, and then the death of the corals. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/29/world/australia/great-barrier-reef-coral-bleaching.html?emc=edit_tnt_20161129&nlid=43628374&tntemail0=y&_r=0

6. Many of Trump's associates come from the fossil fuel industry's propaganda machines. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/nov/30/donald-trump-george-monbiot-misi

7. The US emissions cuts of President Obama are offset by new emissions in foreign operations funded by the US Export-Import Bank early in his presidency, when he was coping with the housing crash of 2008. The bank is currently considering financing a coal plant in Vietnam, a natural gas plant in Mozambique, and a petrochemical complex in Egypt. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/nov/30/us-fossil-fuel-investment-obama-climate-change-legacy ?
