1. As temperatures in India approach 50C (122F) common sense measures such as free water, reflective roof paint, and air-conditioned hospital reception rooms are reducing heat-wave deaths. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/jun/02/india-heat-wave-deaths-public-health-measures

2. A program to survey methane seeps off the Oregon coast is turning them up in large numbers. The survey will develop an observational base to answer such questions as how to calculate the releases of gas which would accompany earthquakes and the destabilization of methane hydrates in warming waters. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/05/180531102812.htm

3. The Motley Fool lists five things he thinks you don't know about renewable energy. He may not have that many surprises for you, but it is good to see that the Fool is on to renewables. https://www.msn.com/en-us/finance/markets/5-facts-about-renewable-energy-you-didnt-know/ar-AAy6t6B

4. An investor's group with $26 trillion in assets under management has urged the Group of Seven leaders due to meet in Montreal this week to phase out coal, cease subsidizing fossil fuels, and "put a meaningful price on carbon." Investors' groups have urged action in the past, but this one is bigger, and its positions are stronger. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-climatechange-investors/big-investors-urge-g7-to-step-up-climate-action-shift-from-coal-idUSKCN1IZ0ZP

5. A new analysis maintains that past estimates of the economic impact of climate change "are inadequate in their treatment of uncertainty and grossly underestimate potential future risks." https://phys.org/news/2018-06-economic-significantly-underestimate-climate.html

6. Homes close to the water in Miami are dropping in price and taking longer to sell. Land suitable for wine grape cultivation in California, Bordeaux, and Tuscany may drop 70-85% in the next fifty years. The time for adaptation is upon us. https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/03/opinions/sea-level-rise-coast-property-opinion-anderson/index.html ?
