WASHINGTON (AP) — A new U.N. report says Earth is sick with multiple and worsening environmental ills killing millions of people yearly. The once-every-few-years scientific report cites dangerous climate change, a global major extinction of animals and plants, a human population soaring toward 10 ...

2. Even with the attempt to sabotage the solar industry with tariffs, US jobs in clean energy last year were triple those in the fossil fuel industry. The year saw 110,000 more added, over half in energy efficiency. https://cleantechnica.com/2019/03/14/money-talks-us-clean-energy-jobs-outnumber-fossil-fuel-jobs-3-to-1/?utm_source=CleanTechnica+News&utm_campaign=b75538e7b4-Daily+Email+CAMPAIGN&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b9b83ee7eb-b75538e7b4-331994013

Last year’s downturn in solar installations put a damper on the clean energy party in the US, but that’s only part of the story. If you factor in all clean tech — including energy storage ...

3. Sunny day flooding is becoming more common as the seas rise. Wilmington, NC, had 84 days of flooding in 2016, up from two days fifty years ago. When ground water rises, it compromises sewer lines, and their contents are part of the flood. ”According to a report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), high-tide flooding frequency along the southeastern coast of the United States rose 160 percent from 2000 to 2017. “ https://e360.yale.edu/features/as-high-tide-flooding-worsens-more-pollution-is-washing-to-the-sea

According to a report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), high-tide flooding frequency along the southeastern coast of the United States rose 160 percent from 2000 to 2017. And with sea levels expected to rise another 3 to 6 feet by 2100 because of melting ice sheets and glaciers, scientists warn that much worse is to come.

4. Greta Thunberg quotes 350.org’s estimate that over a million kids skipped school last Friday to protest climate inaction at more than 2,000 protests in 125 countries. Trump brag-threatened that he has the police, the military, and the bikers for Trump, but he doesn’t have these kids. Students in LA chanted “What do we want? Science! When do we want it? After peer review!” https://www.theguardian.com/environment/live/2019/mar/15/climate-strikes-2019-live-latest-climate-change-global-warming
