1. Adherence to the Planetary Health Diet correlates negatively with inflammation and thus with decrease in COPD events. (Don't we all need a hedge against inflammation?) https://bmcpulmmed.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12890-025-03501-7
2. James Hansen and a team of 17 scientists have published “Global Warming Has Accelerated: Are the United Nations and the Public Well Informed?” online and free. The article concludes that we have underestimated the rate of warming, that the AMOC is likely to shut down around midcentury, and that we need a forum alternative to the IPCC which would give public access to current, informed scientific opinion. The article, which amounts to a summary sketch of the current state of climate science written for the general educated reader, is most significant, though demanding. It occupied me all morning but the abstract is quickly read. I predict that it will lead you to tackle the article. In an epilogue, Hansen reflects on his experience of our attempts to confront the climate challenge and anticipates the future. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/00139157.2025.2434494#abstract
